5 DELICIOUS CBD RECIPES THAT ANYONE CAN ENJOY

Cannabidiol, otherwise known as CBD, is a dietary supplement that has many unique properties. It comes from the Cannabis sativa plant, usually from a form called hemp. CBD is a phytocannabinoid, meaning that it is one of the active compounds found in cannabis plants.

All cannabinoids have the ability to interact with the human body. This is because we have a biological system called the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which works to regulate many aspects of our bodily functions. You might think of the ECS like a messaging system that helps to keep our bodies in a state of homeostatic balance and equilibrium.

The ECS works via a network of signalling molecules called endocannabinoids, which are very similar to the compounds found in cannabis (except that we produce them ourselves in our own bodies). When we take CBD, it stimulates the creation of endocannabinoids, leading to a better-functioning ECS and a healthier, more balanced body.

What’s more, CBD is safe to take and is well-tolerated in humans, according to the World Health Organization. It has been shown to be non-addictive; completely non-intoxicating (it won’t get you high!). For this reason, many people are turning to CBD to improve their general health and live a better life. So far, the results are proving very positive!

COOKING WITH CBD

There are of course many ways to take CBD. Some of the most popular methods include sublingual oils (which you drop under your tongue), capsules, vaping e-liquids, and even topical moisturizers. Whichever method you choose is of course up to you, but generally speaking sublingual oils are one of the most popular and seem to offer the most long-lasting effects.

So, are you new to CBD and deciding whether to give it a shot? Or perhaps you have already taken the plunge and bought some UK CBD oil. If you love cooking and being healthy, then these five CBD recipes are the perfect fit for you. We have included a breakfast option, a “main course” meal, a delicious CBD drink, and a few snacks to keep you going. Some of the recipes are vegan or vegetarian-friendly, so there really is something for all walks of life here.

And in terms of the amount of CBD you’ll be getting in each recipe, that’s totally up to you.

If you like cooking, then cooking with CBD is an excellent option, by making easy recipes and snacks that you can leave in the fridge; you can make sure you’re getting a generous serving of CBD each day. It’s wonderfully easy to fit in to your routine, and can even be a good way to introduce CBD into your family’s lives.

So, now that you know it’s possible to cook with CBD, what can you do with it?

1 cup chocolate protein powder (or plain protein and some cocoa powder), ½ cup hemp seeds, 1 cup mixed nuts and seeds, ¼ cup chia seeds, ¼ teaspoon cinnamon, 25g dark chocolate chopped, 20 dates chopped, 4 tablespoons coconut oil, CBD oil, 1 tablespoon nut butter, ¼ cup water.

Instructions

Line a dish with grease proof paper, combine the chocolate protein powder, hemp seeds, mixed nuts and seeds, chia seeds, cinnamon and dark chocolate in a food processor and mix for ten seconds. Pour the mix into your dish and spread evenly. It will not rise or change in size, so think about how thick you want the bars to be. Use a flat kitchen utensil to smooth out the top.
